As the first Motel in Ireland, it was established in 1989 when McCartney converted the row of houses known as Wickham Drive into self-contained Motel bedrooms. The McCartney Family toured extensively through the USA in the ’70s and ’80s, where they saw how the Motels and Howard Johnston-type accommodations offered excellent value for money and service. After years of owning the Lough Erne Hotel and Killyhevlin Hotel, Raymond McCartney decided to open a Motel once he found the perfect location – on the junction of the Dublin and Tempo Roads in Enniskillen.

The Lough Erne Resort facilities are NOT included when staying in our Lodge.
The Castle Hume Golf Club is close as well as the Bars and Restaurants within the Lough Erne Resort including Blaney Bar and Catalina Restaurant. Booking is advised.

The Belmore Court & Motel owners purchased the Lodge at Lough Erne during the development of the Lough Erne Resort. The Lodge is totally independent of the Resort, and although it is located on the grounds of the Resort, there is no connection.
