Pets have the use of all our public areas with the exception of our breakfast room. We do ask that they are kept on leads when in the public areas.

Pat's Bar

Located slap bang in the middle of Enniskillen town centre is Pat’s Bar, one of the oldest and most popular bars and restaurants on the island town.

Pat’s are a dog-friendly venue that is in the ideal location for you to pop in while you’re up the town checking out the shops or exploring Fermanagh’s capital.

With a fantastic variety of bar food options from Homemade Burgers and mouth-watering Chicken Wings to Indian Curries and homely Vegetable Soup, there is something for all tastes here.

The Moorings

If you want to bring your pet for dinner with a view, then The Moorings in Belnaleck is a great idea.

The pet-friendly restaurant can be found on the main road out of Enniskillen and is located down beside Lough Erne with a great outdoor dining area that overlooks the lough.

There are plenty of delicious options on the menu from fish that was caught locally to traditional roast dinners but what sets The Moorings apart for dog owners is the brilliant walking loop right on their doorstep that takes you on a peaceful lakeside walk, in around the marina and back via a path near the main road. A great way to work up an appetite!

Lusty Beg Bistro

Whether it’s a refreshing pint or a dish of fresh local produce, the island restaurant offers a warm Fermanagh welcome.

A specials board allows something for the more adventurous diners while their carefully selected menu caters for all.

Enniskillen Dog Exercise Park

The Fermanagh Omagh District Council have recently provided a fully enclosed dog park to provide a safe and secure space for dog owners to exercise their pets of the lead. This park is open all day every day. Click for more details.

OTHER DOG FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES

There are lots of other things to do with your four legged friend in Fermanagh.

Part of the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, Big Dog Forest Walk is a beautiful short walk that will allow you and your four-legged friend to explore some of County Fermanagh’s best upland landscapes.   

For a more easy-going stroll, you can enjoy a dander around the grounds of Florence Court, the former home to the Cole family, the Earls of Enniskillen. This magnificent National Trust estate is surrounded by a large area of parkland, garden and woodland, with breath-taking views to Benaughlin and the Cuilcagh Mountains! 

With all that walking around the lakes, through the forests and up the mountains of Fermanagh, you and your pooch will need somewhere to rest. There’s no shortage of choices here.  

Castle coole Lake Walk Trail

Take a pleasant, gentle walk around the tranquil Lough Coole, spotting wildlife and glimpses of the mansion house on the way. (charges may apply)

The Castle Coole Lake Walk Trail is situated only a short distance from Belmore Court & Motel.

This path passes the site of the original Queen Anne house. Shortly after passing the boathouse, a gravel path to your left reaches the shore of the Lough. Take a stroll down to see if you can spot the resident swans before returning to the path and continuing your walk.

Florencecourt Estate

This popular National Trust Property at Florencecourt offers fabulous vistas and walking routes for all the family.

The historic estate, located 20 minutes from Enniskillen, offers miles upon miles of charming woodland trails surrounded by streams and eye-catching flower gardens.

For those looking for a gentle stroll with their dog, choose the Blue Trail. For dog owners who want to stretch their legs out and take in the views from the forest park, take the Red Trail which is roughly 9km long.

Crom Estate

The National Trust Property at Crom with 2,000 acres is made up of tranquil islands and ancient woodlands. One of Ireland’s most important conservation areas, the landscape of Crom is home to a wealth of wildlife including beautiful butterflies, wild deer and the elusive pine marten. Leave the road behind and hire your boat at the jetty. 

Crom’s dog walks boast tranquil landscapes of islands and calming waters as historic oak woodlands and the famous Yew Trees which are the oldest in Ireland! The estate is just a beautiful place to walk your dog and take in the wonderful nature that Fermanagh has to offer.
