Belmore Court & Motel have achieved the “We’re Good To Go” COVID -19 national industry and consumer mark to certify that the respective national guidance, including social distancing and cleanliness protocols, have been put in place. 

The well being of our team and guests remain a priority for Belmore Court & Motel. We wish to share with you our COVID-19 contingency plan which we kindly ask you to follow:

  • All Guests are encouraged to wear masks in public areas unless seated for breakfast.
  • We ask that all guests pre-book breakfast to avoid any disappointment.
  • Rooms will only be serviced upon request to reception on or before 12 noon the morning service is required.
  • Check-in time 4pm.

Some guidelines are highly visible throughout our accommodation, others are combined into our service offerings, and many others in the back-of-house even go invisible to your eye. In all cases, the wellbeing of our guests and colleagues is our utmost consideration, so that you may continue to enjoy your time at Belmore Court & Motel with new norms of safety and peace of mind.

Once you have confirmed your reservation you will receive a confirmation email from our reception team regarding your stay. Please check all the details are correct and contact us if there are any changes. 

In the event that you need to change the date of your pre-paid short break to Belmore Court & Motel due to COVID-19, our ‘Change Of Plan Promise’ means you can transfer your booking to a new date, without any cancellation fees, provided changes are made 48 hours prior to 3pm on your arrival date.

Additional charges may apply based on your alternative arrival date.

All other booking terms and conditions remain unchanged.

What does it cover?

Your booking is protected in the event:

  • Belmore Court & Motel is closed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
  • NI Executive / UK Government restricts travel to the area due to COVID-19 outbreak.
  • You are unable to travel due to you our a member of your household displaying COVID-19 symptoms.
  • COVID-19 “Change Of Plan Promise” is not applicable to any bookings made via a 3rd party including coach operators and online booking agencies. Please contact the relevant 3rd party directly to discuss changes to your booking.
  • Currently COVID Status Checks are not required in Northern Ireland.

In advance of your arrival, you will receive a pre-arrival email. Within this email will be an ‘invitation to provide your check-in details’ which we kindly ask you to complete prior to your arrival so that we can provide a contactless check-in. There is also a guest pay link option in this email.

Face-coverings are encouraged in all public areas (except when in your room or seated at breakfast).

Prior to your visit, all guests are encouraged to download our new App 📲 to help prepare for your visit with a full guest directory. A great way to plan for your forthcoming stay. 

Employees are being asked to conduct lateral flow tests twice per week.

Upon arrival, you will notice that hand sanitiser stations are provided for guests to use on entry and screens have been installed at reception. All of our team members will be practising social distancing.

All guests are encouraged to wear a face-covering on entry to reception and within the public areas of the building. There is NO requirement to wear a face-covering when you are in your room or seated at breakfast.

For those guests that opted for the contactless check-in service the guest details will be pre-populated on the registration form but there is no need to sign. Otherwise sanitised pens are available for registration.

Payment will be taken on or before arrival and the credit card terminal will be sanitised before and after use. Card payments are preferred.

The Key/Key Card and holder will be sanitised before issue.

Public areas

All public areas will be fogged daily including the foyer, reception, breakfast room, lifts, staircases, corridors, public toilets and back of house areas. 

Hand sanitisers are found at the entrance, reception and throughout the building.

Newspapers and Magazines have been removed from communal areas and replaced with more than 7000 online newspapers and magazines using the PressReader App. See the video on how to download.

Lift etiquette

The lift and buttons are regularly sanitised and fogged throughout the day.

Contactless/Express checkout

You can leave your key in the checkout box at reception. The reception team are on hand with any comments/suggestions you may have.

In addition to our normal cleaning program, we wish to inform you that our award-winning housekeeping team are implementing an additional anti-bacterial cleaning plan including an extra focus on touch points including phones, tv remote, pens, etc. and other additional touchpoints to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

Additional Cleaning Procedures

During your stay housekeeping is available as normal but solely on a request from 9am to 3pm. Rooms will not be serviced and staff will not enter your room during your stay unless you specifically request service by contacting reception. Please submit your service request by 12noon for same-day service. Guests may also request additional towels or other items and this will be brought to your door and left outside.

Should you wish to have a service we ask that you vacate your room during the service. 

Public areas

All public areas will be fogged daily including the foyer, reception, breakfast room, lifts, staircases, corridors, public toilets and back of house areas.

Guests can choose to have a “Breakfast to go” or to book a breakfast time for their sitting, available every 30 minutes. Please let us know at least before 10pm the night before. 

Breakfast is served:

Monday to Friday     7.00am to 10.30am

Saturday & Sunday     7.30am to 11.00am

Most restaurants and bars in the town centre and surrounding area are open to the public. To be sure you get served in the establishment it is recommended that you contact the business and make a booking. Each business will advise you of the procedures during this time.

If you have:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature), or;
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual), or;
  • anosmia – the loss or a change in your normal sense of smell (it can also affect your sense of taste)

You must self-isolate and take a PCR test.

If the test is positive you must self-isolate for 10 days.

How to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus

There are simple steps that everyone can take to reduce the risk of catching or spreading coronavirus.


  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

Do not:

  • touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
